John Shudell

DVM

Dr. Shudell started doing relief work with us in 2020 and liked working with us so much that he decided to make it a permanent thing in 2021. He is also a graduate of University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing for over 25 years.

Karen Askounis

DVM

Dr. Askounis graduated in 1986, with honors, from the University of Illinois, College of Veterinary Medicine. Since graduation, she has practiced small animal medicine and surgery in the South suburbs. She started County Line Pet Hospital, in 1991. Dr. Askounis has pursued additional training in trauma medicine, behavioral counseling, and Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation. She has a special interest in internal medicine and behavioral problems in companion animals. Dr. Askounis enjoys the companionship of her pets – three pitbulls, and four cats. She also raises rare breed sheep for conservation and wool.
